Founded in 2005, Penelope started her leather footwear business from her kitchen table at home. Penelope Chilvers soon became a sought after brand and her first style, the Long Tassel Boot, inspired by the classic Spanish riding boot, was featured on the front page of national newspapers worn by Kate Middleton, Duchess Of Cambridge. 

The bespoke Dandy slipper service was launched in 2011 in conjunction with the existing online boutique and 2013 saw the opening of the first Penelope Chilvers standalone store in Notting Hill. This houses the full collection, an in-house bespoke service and exclusive men’s style. The brand has also achieved international success and is stocked in leading independent fashion boutiques worldwide.
